Barry Lee Levinson, born April 6, 1942, in Baltimore, Maryland, is an American filmmaker who works as a director, screenwriter, and producer. His films include Diner (1982), The Natural (1984), Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Rain Man (1988), Bugsy (1991), and Wag the Dog (1997). He won the Academy Award for Best Director for Rain Man and has received four Primetime Emmy Awards along with three Golden Globe nominations.
