Robert Doyle Marshall Jr., known as Rob Marshall, born in Madison, Wisconsin, on 17 October 1960, is an American film and theater director, producer and choreographer. He is best known for directing the film version of the Broadway musical Chicago, which was based on the play of the same name by the playwright Maurine Dallas Watkins.
