Kevin Costner is an American actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and musician born in Lynwood, California, in 1955, with a career spanning more than five decades. His breakthrough acting roles came in The Untouchables, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and The Bodyguard. Directing and starring in the Western Dances With Wolves in 1990, he won the Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director, and he later directed Open Range and Horizon: An American Saga. From 2018 to 2024 he starred as rancher John Dutton in the television series Yellowstone, winning a Golden Globe Award for the role in 2023.
