The Painted House is a 2015 Malayalam-language independent drama film and the feature debut of directors Santosh and Satish Babusenan. It follows Gautam, an aging writer who suffers a heart attack and is then kidnapped by a young couple, Vishaya and Rahul, for reasons that are never explained, and traces his physical and psychological ordeal as he confronts what remains of his own humanity under their abuse.
