Yellow Letters, known in German as Gelbe Briefe, is a 2026 political drama directed by Ilker Catak, a Germany, Turkey and France co-production, centered on Derya and Aziz, a married couple of Turkish theatre artists whose marriage comes under strain after they lose their jobs to political persecution in Turkey. It won the Golden Bear at the 2026 Berlin International Film Festival, the first time in twenty two years that a German production had taken the festival top prize.
