Run Lola Run is a 1998 German thriller written and directed by Tom Tykwer. It follows Lola, who has twenty minutes to obtain 100,000 marks to save the life of her boyfriend Manni, told across three variations in which small differences in timing and chance produce very different outcomes. A critical and commercial success, it became the highest-grossing German film of 1998, won the Audience Award at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival, and won seven German Film Awards; its structure and visual style went on to influence later film, television, and music video work.
