Amelie, released in French as Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain, is a 2001 French film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, starring Audrey Tautou as a shy, imaginative Parisian waitress who resolves to secretly improve the lives of people around her while struggling to overcome her own isolation and pursue a romance of her own.
