Honey (2010 film)

Honey, known in Turkish as Bal, is a 2010 Turkish drama directed by Semih Kaplanoglu, the final film in his Yusuf trilogy. It follows a six year old boy named Yusuf who searches the forests of eastern Turkey for his missing father, a beekeeper whose bee colonies have disappeared, told with little dialogue or music. The film won the Golden Bear at the 60th Berlin International Film Festival, becoming the third Turkish film to take the award, and was submitted by Turkey for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
