Wake Up Sid is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy drama written and directed by Ayan Mukerji. Set in contemporary Mumbai, it follows a careless, wealthy college graduate, played by Ranbir Kapoor, who learns responsibility through his friendship with an aspiring writer from Kolkata, played by Konkona Sen Sharma. The film was a commercial and critical success and received nine nominations at the 55th Filmfare Awards.
