Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean action horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho, following passengers aboard a high-speed train from Seoul to Busan as a sudden zombie outbreak spreads through the carriages. Made on a budget of about 8.5 million dollars, it grossed roughly 98.5 million dollars worldwide and became the first Korean film of the year to draw more than ten million domestic theatergoers. It is widely credited with bringing the zombie genre to mainstream South Korean cinema and spawned an animated prequel and a live-action sequel.
