Las truchas (Trout) is a 1978 Spanish film directed by Jose Luis Garcia Sanchez, presented as social commentary on the middle class of the Franco era. It centers on the annual dinner of a fishing club whose members eat rotten trout while refusing to accept there is anything wrong with it, an allegory for institutional denial. It shared the Golden Bear at the 28th Berlin International Film Festival.
