Kurbaan, meaning Sacrificed, is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language romantic thriller directed by Rensil D'Silva from a story conceived by producer Karan Johar. Kareena Kapoor stars as a New York psychology professor who marries a man played by Saif Ali Khan and later discovers, after witnessing violence within his family, that he and his relatives are linked to an Islamic terrorist network. The film uses its central relationship to examine the machinery of global terrorism.
