La colmena (The Beehive) is a 1982 Spanish drama directed by Mario Camus, adapting Camilo Jose Cela's novel The Hive. Set in Madrid beginning in 1942, it follows an ensemble of impoverished poets, intellectuals and bourgeois figures who frequent a cafe called La Delicia, exploring the aftermath of the Spanish Civil War on their lives. It won the Golden Bear at the 1983 Berlin International Film Festival.
