One Summer of Happiness is a 1951 Swedish film directed by Arne Mattsson, based on Per Olof Ekstroms 1949 novel Sommardansen. It was the first Swedish film to win the Golden Bear at the Berlin International Film Festival, in 1952, and it was also nominated for the Palme dOr at the 1952 Cannes Film Festival. Its nude scenes caused controversy at the time and, alongside Ingmar Bergmans Summer with Monika, helped spread an international image of Swedish film as sexually frank.
