Alcarras is a 2022 Spanish and Italian drama directed by Carla Simon, shot in Catalan with a nonprofessional cast, about the Sole family of peach farmers in Catalonia whose land, promised to them only by a verbal agreement dating to the Spanish Civil War, is reclaimed by its owner to install solar panels. It won the Golden Bear at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival, the first Catalan language film to receive the award.
