Hindi and Bollywood Cinema: 2000s

This child group collects Hindi and Bollywood Cinema members released in the 2000s (2002 through 2009), the pre-multiplex-boom decade in which the industry both consolidated its mainstream commercial formula and produced a wave of acclaimed crossover and independent-minded work. It spans mainstream hits (Dhoom 2, Don, Krrish, Ghajini, Rang De Basanti, Chandni Chowk to China), the acclaimed dramas Dev.D and Delhi-6, the Filmfare-winning black comedy Kaminey, the war drama Kurbaan, the heist thriller Aankhen, the workplace comedy Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, the political thriller Sarkar Raj, and the coming-of-age favorite Wake Up Sid, among 28 members in all. At 28 members it sits well under this atlas's oversized-group threshold and needs no further split.
