The Usual Suspects is a 1995 American neo-noir crime thriller directed by Bryan Singer and written by Christopher McQuarrie. It follows Roger 'Verbal' Kint, played by Kevin Spacey, a small-time con artist recounting to police the events that led a group of five criminals, drawn together for a heist, into the orbit of a mysterious and possibly mythical crime lord known as Keyser Soze. The film is especially remembered for its structural twist ending, and Spacey won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance.
