The Sixth Sense

Hollywood and English-Language Studio Cinema

The Sixth Sense is a 1999 American psychological thriller film written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan. It follows Malcolm Crowe, a child psychologist played by Bruce Willis, who treats a troubled young boy, played by Haley Joel Osment, whose claim that he can see and speak with the dead sets up one of the most widely discussed twist endings in modern cinema. The film was a major critical and commercial success and helped establish Shyamalan's reputation for tightly constructed narratives built around a concealed final reveal.
