The Wind That Shakes the Barley is a 2006 war drama directed by Ken Loach, starring Cillian Murphy and Padraic Delaney. It follows two brothers from County Cork who join the Irish Republican Army during the Irish War of Independence, only to find themselves on opposing sides once the subsequent Irish Civil War divides nationalist and socialist visions for Ireland's future. The film won the Palme d'Or at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival.
