CBS Radio Mystery Theater is an American anthology radio drama series that ran from 1974 to 1982, hosted by actor E.G. Marshall and presenting a new self contained mystery, horror or suspense story each night. Created by writer and producer Himan Brown, a veteran of radio drama's earlier network era, the series was a deliberate attempt to revive a dramatic radio format that had largely disappeared from American network broadcasting after the rise of television. It is widely regarded by radio historians as the last major sustained network radio drama series produced in the United States.
