Quiet, Please is an American radio horror and fantasy anthology series created and mostly written by Wyllis Cooper, broadcast on the Mutual Broadcasting System and later ABC from 1947 to 1949 and starring Ernest Chappell as narrator and frequent lead. The series was noted for its literary, atmospheric scripts and unconventional use of sound and silence rather than reliance on stock horror effects. It is regularly cited by old time radio historians as among the most artistically accomplished dramatic anthology series the medium produced.
