X Minus One is an American science fiction radio anthology series broadcast on NBC from 1955 to 1958, adapting stories from science fiction magazines including Galaxy Science Fiction and Astounding Science Fiction by writers such as Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov and Robert Heinlein. It grew out of and shared some production resources with the earlier NBC series Dimension X, and is widely regarded by genre historians as one of the finest science fiction programs American radio produced, valued for scripts that respected the source material rather than simplifying it for a general audience.
