Just a Minute is a BBC radio panel game created by Ian Messiter, first broadcast in 1967, in which contestants are challenged to speak on a randomly chosen subject for sixty seconds without hesitation, repetition of words already used, or deviation from the subject, while opposing panelists may interrupt with a challenge if they believe a rule has been broken. Hosted for more than fifty years by Nicholas Parsons until his death in 2020, the program built a reputation for quick, improvisational wit among its regular panelists. It is one of the longest running radio comedy panel games in British broadcasting history.
