The War Game

Documentary and Nonfiction Film

The War Game is a 1965 British pseudo-documentary film written, directed and produced by Peter Watkins for the BBC, depicting the imagined aftermath of a nuclear attack on England. The BBC withdrew it from broadcast as too disturbing for television, and it was instead released theatrically, winning the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
