The Anderson Platoon is a documentary film by Pierre Schoendoerffer following an American army platoon during the Vietnam War, named for its commanding officer, Lieutenant Joseph B. Anderson, with whom Schoendoerffer was embedded. It won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
