Power/Rangers is a 2015 American short fan film directed by Joseph Kahn and produced by Adi Shankar, reimagining the children's television franchise Power Rangers as a dark, adult-oriented story. Written by Kahn with James Van Der Beek and Dutch Southern, it starred Katee Sackhoff as Kimberly Hart and Van Der Beek as Rocky DeSantos and was released free on YouTube and Vimeo in February 2015. Within days both platforms removed it after a copyright claim from Saban, the franchise's rights holder, then restored it, and the film became a widely discussed example of an unauthorized fan reinterpretation of a licensed property.
