Batman Beyond: Year One is a 2024 American superhero fan film written and directed by Michael Yu, starring Ryan Potter as Terry McGinnis, the successor to Bruce Wayne in the animated series Batman Beyond created by Paul Dini, Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett. It follows a high school student secretly serving as Batman in a future Gotham City under the mentorship of a retired Bruce Wayne. Crowdfunded through Indiegogo on a budget of about 54,600 dollars, it was released on YouTube in November 2024.
