The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a 2015 action role playing game developed and published by CD Projekt, the third game in a series based on Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy novels. Players control monster hunter Geralt of Rivia as he searches for his adopted daughter Ciri, who is being pursued by the Wild Hunt, a band of spectral riders drawn from European folklore. The game has won more than two hundred game of the year awards and sold over 65 million copies, and is frequently named among the greatest video games made for the depth of its open world and its integration of story with player choice.
