Persona 5 is a 2016 role playing game developed by P-Studio and published by Atlus, combining dungeon crawling with a social simulation set in modern day Tokyo. Players follow a high school student known as Joker who joins the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, a group that steals the corrupted desires of adults who abuse their power. The game became the best selling entry in the Megami Tensei franchise, with more than 11.8 million copies sold, and its stylized interface and presentation have influenced the visual design of later role playing games.
