Half-Life 2

Half-Life 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed and published by Valve Corporation, released for Windows through Steam on November 16, 2004 and later ported to Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac OS X and Linux. Players control physicist Gordon Freeman as he joins a resistance movement fighting to free Earth from the alien Combine, using a signature gravity gun to manipulate objects in the environment for both combat and puzzle-solving alongside vehicles and physics-based mechanics. The game won 39 Game of the Year awards, achieved a Metacritic score of 96 out of 100, and had sold 12 million copies by 2011, and it is widely regarded as one of the most influential first-person shooters ever made.
