Cosmos Laundromat: First Cycle is a 2015 animated short film produced by the Blender Institute under the codename Project Gooseberry, directed by Mathieu Auvray and produced by Ton Roosendaal. It was the Blender Foundation's fifth open movie, made using free and open-source software to demonstrate that feature-quality animation was achievable outside commercial studio tools, and its production funded new capabilities added to the Blender software itself. The twelve-minute film tells the absurdist story of a suicidal sheep named Franck who is offered alternative lives by a mysterious salesman, and it won the Jury's Choice Award at SIGGRAPH 2016 and the Grand Jury Prize at Animayo 2017.
