Everything Everywhere All at Once is a 2022 film written and directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, known together as Daniels, blending absurdist comedy, science fiction and martial arts with an immigrant family story. It follows Evelyn Quan Wang, a Chinese American laundromat owner facing an IRS audit and a strained relationship with her daughter, who discovers she can access the skills and memories of alternate versions of herself across the multiverse in order to stop a powerful being from destroying all of reality. Michelle Yeoh starred as Evelyn, with Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, James Hong and Jamie Lee Curtis in principal roles. Produced independently by A24 on a budget of roughly fourteen to twenty five million dollars, the film became the studio's highest grossing release and won seven Academy Awards at the 2023 ceremony, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Yeoh, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress for Quan and Curtis.
