Anora is a 2024 American romantic comedy drama written, directed, produced and edited by Sean Baker, starring Mikey Madison as a lap dancer from New York who marries the son of a wealthy Russian oligarch, played by Mark Eydelshteyn. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2024, where it won the Palme d'Or, before its theatrical release by Neon that October. It received six nominations at the 97th Academy Awards and won five, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress for Madison and Best Original Screenplay, becoming one of only four films to win both the Palme d'Or and the Academy Award for Best Picture.
