What Daphne Saw is a 2019 American science fiction short film written and directed by Lizz Marshall, running nineteen minutes on a budget of under eight thousand dollars raised through Seed&Spark. Set in a dystopian future, it follows a woman named Daphne who is punished by being made to serve others in a household built on deep secrets, addressing themes of human trafficking. Starring Selynne Silver and George Griffith, it premiered at the 2019 Horrible Imaginings Film Festival, where Griffith won Best Actor and Alex Winkler won Best Score, and went on to screen at FilmQuest, Ax Wound Film Festival and an anti-human-trafficking fundraiser in Texas.
