Cavalcade

Cavalcade is a 1933 American drama film directed by Frank Lloyd, adapted by Reginald Berkeley from Noel Coward's 1931 stage play of the same name. It follows a well-to-do London family, the Marryots, and their household across the first third of the twentieth century, from New Year's Eve 1899 to New Year's Day 1933, marking the passage of years against events including the Second Boer War, the death of Queen Victoria, the sinking of the RMS Titanic, and the First World War. Produced and distributed by Fox Film Corporation and starring Diana Wynyard and Clive Brook, the film was both a critical and commercial success on its 1933 release and won three Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director.
