Kit Hung

Kit Hung is an independent filmmaker from Hong Kong, also credited as Wing Kit Hung or Hung Wing Kit. He studied design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and film, video and new media at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and has worked as an editor, assistant director, project manager, lecturer and director. Since 2012 he has lectured at the Academy of Film at Hong Kong Baptist University and has been a featured director and writer at the Jiukaboom Multimedia Production Company. His graduation film I Am Not What You Want (2001) is significant in Hong Kong queer culture for challenging stereotypes of gay men, and his best-known feature, Soundless Wind Chime (2009), won several international awards and was distributed in Germany, Hong Kong, North America, France and the United Kingdom. He has also directed music videos for singers in Hong Kong and Switzerland.
