Alfred Vohrer (1914 to 1986) was a German film director and actor, born in Stuttgart and died in Munich. He directed 48 films between 1958 and 1984. Three of his films were entered into the Moscow International Film Festival: Seven Days Grace (1969) at the sixth festival, Tears of Blood (1972) at the eighth and Only the Wind Knows the Answer (1974) at the ninth. His long career, spanning more than a quarter of a century of West German cinema, makes him a prolific working director of the postwar German film industry rather than the author of a single famous title.
