The Associated Press is an American not for profit news agency headquartered in New York City, founded in 1846 and structured as a cooperative owned by its member news organizations. It distributes news, photography and video to newspapers, broadcasters and other outlets worldwide and has won 60 Pulitzer Prizes since 1917.
