Broadcasters

Organizations that transmit programming over the air, by cable or by satellite, and the electronics manufacturers whose business is built around that same transmission chain. Belongs here: national and cable broadcasters such as the BBC, CNN, HBO and National Public Radio, and an organization such as the Radio Corporation of America whose historic business spanned broadcasting and the electronics that carried it. Does not belong here: the regulators that license and oversee these broadcasters, grouped under regulatory bodies, or the streaming services that deliver programming outside a broadcast schedule, grouped under digital and streaming organizations.
