Kung Fu Panda

Kung Fu Panda is a 2008 computer-animated film produced by DreamWorks Animation, directed by Mark Osborne and John Stevenson, set in a fictional ancient China populated by anthropomorphic animals, following Po, an overweight, martial-arts-obsessed panda voiced by Jack Black who works in his father's noodle shop, and his improbable selection as the prophesied Dragon Warrior destined to defend the Valley of Peace from the vengeful snow leopard Tai Lung. Its blend of genuine reverence for kung fu film conventions and choreography with broad comedy distinguished it from DreamWorks's earlier, more pop-culture-referential animated comedies. It received an Academy Award nomination for Best Animated Feature and launched a long-running franchise of sequels, television series and shorts.
