Peter Pan is a 1953 American animated musical fantasy film produced by Walt Disney Productions, directed by Hamilton Luske, Clyde Geronimi and Wilfred Jackson, adapted from J. M. Barrie's 1904 play. It follows Wendy Darling and her brothers as they are led by the ageless boy Peter Pan to the magical island of Never Land, where they encounter the fairy Tinker Bell, the Lost Boys and the villainous pirate Captain Hook. It was Disney's fourteenth animated feature and remains one of the studio's most enduring adaptations of the Peter Pan story, distinct from the many stage and live-action versions that preceded and followed it.
