Sintel is a 2010 animated fantasy short film, the third open movie produced by the Blender Foundation. It was produced by Ton Roosendaal, the Blender Foundation's chairman, written by Esther Wouda, and directed by Colin Levy, at the time an artist at Pixar, with art direction by David Revoy. Made at the Blender Institute using the free and open source Blender software, the film follows its title character as she tracks down her pet dragon, Scales.
