Robin Hood is a 1973 American animated musical film directed by Wolfgang Reitherman for Walt Disney Productions, retelling the English folk legend of Robin Hood with its characters reimagined as anthropomorphic animals, Robin Hood himself portrayed as a fox. Set in Nottingham, it follows Robin Hood and Little John as they steal from the greedy Prince John to aid the kingdom's overtaxed common people, with voice performances by Brian Bedford, Phil Harris and Peter Ustinov. Made on a constrained budget that led animators to reuse motion footage from several earlier Disney films, it nonetheless became one of the studio's more fondly remembered productions of its period.
