Monsters, Inc. is a 2001 American animated film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures, directed by Pete Docter and written by Andrew Stanton and Daniel Gerson. It centers on Sulley and his one eyed partner Mike Wazowski, monsters employed by the energy company Monsters, Inc., which generates power by scaring human children in a world that believes children are toxic to touch, until a small girl nicknamed Boo sneaks into the factory and the pair must return her home undetected. The film earned roughly 579.7 million dollars worldwide against a 115 million dollar budget.
