Nora Twomey

Nora Twomey, born in Cork City, Ireland, on 31 October 1971, is an Irish animator, director, screenwriter, producer and voice actress who has been active since 2002. She is best known as a co-founder of the Kilkenny animation studio Cartoon Saloon, alongside Tomm Moore and Paul Young, and for co-directing The Secret of Kells and directing The Breadwinner. Her work on both films earned Academy Award nominations for Best Animated Feature. She also directed My Father's Dragon. Within this atlas Nora Twomey is credited as the director of The Secret of Kells and The Breadwinner (2017 film).
