John Alan Lasseter, born in Los Angeles on 12 January 1957, is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and animator. He was previously chief creative officer of Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disneytoon Studios, and principal creative advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering, and since 2019 he has headed animation at Skydance Animation. His honours include Academy Awards in 1989 and 1996. Within this atlas John Lasseter is credited as the director of Cars (2006 film), A Bug's Life and Toy Story 2.
